Free Training!  Healthy Homes & Child Care Conference:  Promoting a Healthy Environment for our Children

Registration is now open and licensed and registered child care facilities are eligible for scholarships* to cover the conference registration cost (a $170 savings!).  Approximately 10 clock hours are available at the conference. 

Choose from over 30 sessions including:

·         Preschool Environmental Education Curriculum

·         Child Care Environmental Health 101 – Learn how things you can’t see at your facility can have long-term health implications on children.  Hear how other providers in Indiana are using cutting edge ideas to reduce hazards and share your own ideas and experiences.  Topics include pests and pesticides, cleaning chemicals, lead paint, vehicle idling and more.

·         Make Hand Washing Fun – hand washing can help reduce many types of environmental exposure, but how do you keep little ones engaged to do it?  Fun ideas for proper hand washing.

·         Successfully Incorporate Fresh Foods into Your Child Care Menu

·         Five Star Environmental Recognition Program – More Benefits, Better Application, Updated Requirements

* You may send 2 people per site on scholarship.  You can request scholarships for additional attendees, but they will be put on a waiting list.  You may attend one or both days.  This scholarship covers the registration cost.  You will be responsible for any lodging or travel costs for the conference.
